“This tour was good if you want a little history and guidance around the city that includes food. We ended up with basically a private tour as it was just my husband and I. Our guide was very friendly and sweet, but we did have a big of an issue understanding her accent. Probably more our issue, but we just don't speak French. The food was good, but for the amount of the tour, we feel we could have used Tripadvisor to pick a really nice place for lunch and had a better meal. But we would not have seen any of the city.”

The pace was relaxed, the portions were generous, and you’ll be tasting a surprising variety of local specialties—so come hungry and maybe skip the tight jeans that day. She shared plenty of interesting history and context along the way, which helped us appreciate the city beyond the food itself. Avignon has so much to take in, and this tour was a great introduction.
